We are still on a high after finding out our Beechworth, Kew and Elwood residences have been shortlisted in the 2018 IDEA Awards.
To top it all off we have been shortlisted for Interior Designer of the Year!!
Winners will be announced in November and we can't wait! ⠀
We are very excited that our Beechworth Residence has been shortlisted in the Australian Interior Design Awards (AIDA) Residential Decoration Category and is also a finalist in the Dulux Colour Awards.
We have been shortlisted alongside some of the best in the Australian design industry and we can't wait for the result.
AIDA Awards will be announced on May 25 and the Dulux Awards will be announced on May 10.
Mardi is currently in Palm Springs, California for Modernism week (15 - 25 February) an annual event that celebrates mid-century Architecture, Interior Design and culture.

Doherty Design Studio are pleased to be a sponsor for INDEX 2017.
INDEX is the RMIT University Bachelor of Interior Design (Honours) graduate exhibition.
The exhibition is seen as a celebration of the student’s time in the course, and offers a projection into the future directions of Interior Design theory & practice.
It is a celebration and a forum about the interior that includes presentations, examinations and the public exhibition of work.
We are excited to announce that our Brighton (pictured) and Fitzroy Residences have been shortlisted in the 2017 IDEA Awards.
Our Brighton Residence has been nominated for both Residential Decoration and Residential Single and our Fitzroy Residence has been nominated for Residential Decoration.
The awards and winners will be announced in November this year. Finger crossed!

We are super excited to have received two commendations at the Australian Interior Design Awards earlier this week. We received commendations in both the Residential Design and Residential Decoration categories.

We have been shortlisted in three categories for the Australian Interior Design Awards! Our Fitzroy residence has been shortlisted for both Best Residential Decoration and Best Residential Design.
Our Ivanhoe residence (pictured) has also been shortlisted for Best Residential Design. We look forward to hearing the winners announced in June!

Mardi has recently returned from a two week architectural tour in Japan, experiencing some of the best architecture and interiors Tokyo has to offer, including the featured Maison Koichiro Kimura. The 2016 Architectural tour was hosted by Steven Crafti.
We have recently collaborated with Grazia & Co on a range of mirrors. Named the Lunar Mirrors, they are designed as purposeful artistic elements that act as sculptural statements as well as reflect natural light, add depth and luminosity to visually expand a space.
We have been shortlisted for two awards in the 2016 IDEA Award, Caulfield Residence - Single Residential Category, Hawthorn Residence - Interior Decoration Category. We look forward to hearing the winners announced in November.
We are collaborating with Chan Architects on a boutique multi-res project in Brighton. We can't wait to see this project come to life in the next few months.
We have teamed up with interior stylist Jason Grant to produce his dream bathroom for the Reece Designer Looks Series. The bathroom concept was inspired by laid-back living and Bondi costal vibes.
Our Vardo Hut has been shortlisted in the Outdoor Category for this years Houses Awards. Made for the Cubby Challange event at the 2015 Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show, the Vardo Hut helped raise funds for the not for profit organisation Kids Under Cover.
Mardi joined forces with Lucy Glade of Hunting For George and Tom Shaw of Jardan to talk all things Instagram at the DIA Dialogue AM talk last week. The team shared their knowledge and experience using social media for business development.
Mardi is a judge in this years Australian Interior Design Awards. Good luck to all the participants, we can't wait to see the finalists announced later this year.
We have two projects shortlisted in this years Dulux Colour Awards. We loved working on the Hawthorn Residence and The Refectory at Werribee Mansion, and have been so lucky to work with such trusting clients. Fingers crossed for the awards in April!
